I first heard about this coffee when a man came to Takamura and said,
“I want to grow coffee in Ethiopia. There are many good coffee beans in Ethiopia but not in Japan. That’s why I want to bring their good coffee to Japan. Could you buy the beans if I go over there and grow them?”
As I was listening to his story, I thought he should make his dream come true.
After 1 year, we got their green beans sample.
I could tell that they had a better potential than COE (Cup of Excellence) even before roasting them.
During roasting, it was so surprising how floral the smell was.
I knew it had to be good!
Ethiopia washed is a popular kind of coffee but these are much better than you’d expect.
Enjoy the Ethiopian beans from Alaka farm!
